One thing I have learned over the years is that sometimes the words used in Web3 can make simple ideas sound more complicated than they really are.
That was exactly how I felt the first time I heard people discussing Passport NFT inside V-Boost.
To be honest, I initially thought it was just another NFT. After all, most of us became familiar with NFTs through digital pictures and collectibles. So I didn’t immediately understand why Passport NFT seemed to be mentioned so often whenever people talked about V-Boost and the wider Vistory ecosystem.
Eventually, curiosity got the better of me.
I decided to spend some time reading, asking questions, and trying to understand why Passport NFT appeared to sit at the center of everything.
My First Impression
At first, I assumed Passport NFT was simply something people owned.
But the more I studied, the more I realized that it is better to think of Passport NFT as a digital position rather than just a digital picture.
According to the V-Boost Essentials document, Passport NFT stores the identifier, tiers, settings, structure, and related activity associated with a participant. It becomes the foundation of that participant’s presence inside the Vistory ecosystem. All VGF rewards are connected to the wallet that owns the Passport NFT.
Understanding that changed the way I looked at it.
Why Passport NFT Matters
For me, one of the most interesting ideas behind Passport NFT is digital ownership.
The Essentials document explains that positions are issued as NFTs that users can manage, upgrade, hold, or even transfer through V-Place.
That immediately reminded me that Web3 is gradually moving beyond collectibles and toward ownership, participation, and utility.
Personally, I think this is one reason why so many people are becoming interested in blockchain technology and digital assets.
Understanding VGF
Another thing I wanted to understand was VGF.
In the beginning, I kept seeing VGF mentioned alongside Passport NFT, and naturally I wanted to understand the relationship.
From the information available in the Essentials document, VGF rewards are associated with the wallet connected to the Passport NFT. It also explains that VGF can later be wrapped into a Voucher NFT for transfers and exchanges inside the system and converted back whenever necessary.
That helped me appreciate that V-Boost is designed as an ecosystem with several connected components rather than isolated products.
The Beginner Path
One thing I particularly liked in the Essentials document was the newcomer path.
For beginners, the process is presented in four simple steps:
- Create a wallet.
- Register in the system.
- Activate the first position in V-Boost.
- Grow and expand participation over time.
I personally think keeping things simple is important because many people enter Web3 feeling overwhelmed.
Personal Thoughts
Looking back, I smile when I remember how confused I was the first time I heard the term Passport NFT.
Today, I understand why it is considered an important part of V-Boost.
More importantly, learning about Passport NFT reminded me that understanding should always come before excitement.
Technology changes quickly, but learning remains one of the best investments anyone can make.
Soft Reminder
No matter how interesting an ecosystem may appear, I believe it is always wise to study official materials, ask questions, and understand the fundamentals before participating.
Knowledge remains one of the most valuable assets anyone can possess in Web3.
